A letter of proposal has been submitted to Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran (JPS) Negeri Pulau Pinang by Rukun Tetangga Taman Bukit Minyak on 2nd Feb 2007 to upgrade the existing vacant JPS Reserved Land along Jalan Persekutuan near to the Sungai Juru Dam area into a riverfront recreational park.
We hope the relevant authorities would seriously look into the proposal as there is a need for a bigger recreational area in the locality.
Kita sangatlah berharap agar pihak berkuasa berkenaan akan memberi pertimbangan sewajarnya memandangkan penduduk Taman Bukit Minyak dan perumahan sekitarnya memerlukan satu Taman Bandar.
Meanwhile, it is noted that a contractor, I & R Land Sdn Bhd has been appointed By Pengarah JPS Pulau Pinang to carry out earthworks dan other related works for the construction of Kompleks JPS along Sungai Juru reserved land behind the veterinary site (refer to signboard photo). A site visit revealed that earth works have stated since January 2007.
