Whislt we were conducting the water monitoring tests, we spotted 2 activities along the river banks there ;-
Angler, Mohamad Syakirin Bin Ismail 24 years old, showing us his catch at Juru Dam – “ikan bulan”.
A scavenger spotted busy salvaging plastic/mineral bottles at garbage site near to the suspension bridge of Juru Dam…..for recycling use !!. Like old newspaper, household plastic /mineral bottles can be collected for recycle and reuse !!
He showed us his collection…..

Here are the results of the test at Site 1 ;
Physical monitoring
Colour and appearance – cloudy
Smell – nil
Vegetation – field grass
Animals – Lizard (biawak), otter(memberang) and snake (ular)
Activities – recreation area with a suspension bridge and several chalets in dilapidated conditions, a rubbish /plastic bottle scavenger spotted nearby and seen salvaging at the rubbish site near the river bank whilst several anglers seen fishing there.

Phosphate – 4 ppm

Whislt we were conducting the test at Site 2, we spotted a man harvesting moina..
He showed us his catch, Moina, a single cell organism used for feeding fish fry….. Learn more about moina.

Vegetation – weeds along river bank of concrete embankment, growth of algae
Animals – Nil
Activities – road expansion works in progress, concrete drain along the Bukit Tengah Industrial area. Numbers of factories sited along the concrete drain. Spotted a man harvesting for moina.
