Public Objections Hearing on Penang Structure Plan 2005-2020

A presentation has been made to the Public Objections Hearing Committee of the Penang Structure Plan 2005-2020 on 12th December 2006 at Mutiara Room 2, 29th Floor, KOMTAR, 10000 Penang.

Amongst the issues highlighted and comments and suggestions presented during the half an hour presentation to the panels of the committee were; the need for a riverside recreational park at JPS reserved land near Juru Dam, serious pollution faced by Sungai Juru and rehabilitation initiatives, guidelines and policies to preserve Sungai Juru and its mangrove swamps.
